About Alicia Lynch
Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family of artists and photographers, beginning with my Grandfather in Belgium, who created a darkroom up in his attic. He passed on his art and passion to my mother, who in turn passed it on to me. I received my first 35mm film camera on my 8th birthday, and I carried it everywhere. I haven’t been able to put a camera down since!
I love to capture everything from the first kiss of your wedding, to the delicate smile of a newborn baby, to the great beauty of a sunrise over the Sierra Mountains. My camera even comes down with me to the depths of the Oceans, on diving trips! I am an SSI certified Dive Control Specialists SCUBA Diving Instructor, and I teach underwater photography as well. I am looking to photograph my first underwater wedding…. So maybe your wedding could be the one!
I believe that as a photographer, I am responsible to beautifully capture your special day, event, or location that you wish to have remembered. Because of this, there are no time limits on my photographic coverage for my larger packages. I also give you the option to purchase unlimited time for the smaller packages. So relax,? you have all day…. I will be there to document and capture ALL of the smiles, the emotion, and the joys of your wedding day, or special event without you having to worry about watching the clock.
I prefer to use the natural light and natural surroundings as my backdrops. However, I do shoot traditional indoor photography as well. I capture all of my work in a digital format, using a high-resolution digital SLR Canon camera, with the exception of 3-Dimensional Photography
Another passion of mine is to keep the antique art of 3-Dimensional Photography alive. I am a member of the International Stereoscopic Union (ISU), and I participate in local 3-D clubs. I primarily use a vintage 1940’s Stereo Realist film camera to capture 3-D slides. I feel that viewing 3-D images in the format of slides is the most beautiful way to enjoy this unique art. I have also created my own digital 3-D camera by using two Sony Cybershot digital cameras and a sync connection. The digital images allow you to view the 3-D images on your computer and to print them out as stereo cards.
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington into a very loving and close family. I moved out to Nevada over 7 years ago to complete my two year residency in the Medical field of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and become an ABC Board Certified Practicioner. However, my love for photography kept pulling at me, and I finally left the medical field to focus on photography full time.
