What is 3d Photography?
3-d imaging is a technique used to create the illusion of depth in a photograph by presenting a slightly different image to each eye. Our brain interprets depth by comparing the two images from the left and the right eyes. To photographically simulate this, we need two photos of the same scene, taken from slightly different positions.
Stereo, or 3-Dimensional photography, was popular in the late 1940's and 50's. Today, it is an art that is rare. Your wedding or special event will be photographed using a vintage stereo realist camera from the 1940's to produce 3-d slides. I also have created a modern digital set up, using two Sony 5.0 megapixel digital cameras, to produce the same stereo effect, but to be viewed on the computer or printed as cards. 3-D imaging is a uniquely beautiful side of photography that is ideal for all occasions.
All slides are hand cut and hand mounted into durable mounts. All digital prints are processed individually, and positioned to create stereo prints. Digital prints can also be transformed into popular anaglyph prints for viewing with red/cyan glasses.
